Catering Prices and Packages
Shopping for a caterer could be a frustrating experience. Most catering companies in San Diego don’t post any pricing information on their website, encouraging you to call them. At TOAST, our goal is to make your catering experience as easy and pleasant as possible. Starting from the shopping process, to the event planning, etc. Although in most cases, we work directly with our customers and custom design their menu, we believe that the following catering packages would help you determine how much you are about to spend on your next catering event in San Diego! Please note that the following prices don’t include rentals, labor fee, service charge and taxes. We have also included an estimate on rentals to further help you calculate your catering cost.

Buffet vs. Sit Down Service:
 
There’s a misconception that choosing a Buffet Style Service would save you money compared to the Plated Service. This is not always true! For smaller groups (25-50 people), you would almost need the same amount of staff and rentals for both services. On the other hand, the food cost is higher for buffet service, since you can’t control portions. Often guests would go to the buffet table for 2nd or 3rd servings. For bigger groups, you can estimate 10% to 15% saving on your rental costs and up to 35% saving on your labor fees.
